       <abstract>
          The Shanghai High repetition rate XFEL and Extreme light facility (SHINE), as the first hard X-ray free electron laser facility in China, is under construction and aims at generating X-rays between 0.4 and 25 keV with three FEL beamlines at repetition rates of up to 1 MHz. In this work, we will give an introduction to the comprehensive physics design of the baseline and advanced FEL modes and latest progress of the FEL part of this project.
