Müller, A.-S. JACoW Geneva, Switzerland Micro-Bunch-Instabilities are one of the limits of single bunch charge in storage rings, particularly in low-alpha operation. This talk will give an overview over recent advances in the development of methods and technologies for the observation and characterization of these instabilities. Examples will illustrate the performance and possibilities of the different techniques.
