Abstract This talk will describe the latest results using laser powered dielectric accelerators. Recent experiments in the US (SLAC) and Europe (MPQ) have fabricated dielectric accelerators powered with optical lasers and used them to accelerate electrons with gradients between 25 and 300 MeV/m. The latest results will be reviewed and prospects and applications for the future will be discussed.
