            |  | The Nuclotron-based Ion Collider fAcility (NICA) is a new accelerator complex being constructed at JINR aimed to provide the collider experiments with ion-ion (Au79+) and ion-proton collisions at the energy range of 1-4.5 GeV/n and also the collisions of polarized proton-proton and deuteron-deuteron beams.             |  | The new accelerator complex Nuclotron-based Ion Collider fAcility (NICA) is assumed to operate using two injectors: the Alvarez-type linac LU-20 as injector for light ions, polarized protons and deuterons and a new linac HILac for heavy ions. The main features of ion sources and both linacs are presented. Upgrade for pre-accelerator of LU-20 is described. |  |
