| Abstract |
Magnet is the heaviest part of cyclotron machines. In the 10 MeV cyclotron which is under construction at Amirkabir University of technology, AISI 1010 ,which has got medium mechanical strength, is used as magnet core material because of its magnetic properties. In detail engineering design for magnet system of the 10 MeV cyclotron, There are significant drilling locations for joints and bolts and weight of magnet system is concentrated on specific parts. As a result, stress and strain analyze of these parts plays an important role in insurance of mechanical stability of system. In this paper an attempt has been done for stress and strain simulation on detailed design of Magnet system for 10 MeV cyclotron using Ansys workbench and Solidworks. By considering impressive safety coefficient, Maximum stress value of 5.387 MPa has been occurred in extra part which connects poles to yoke.
